VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Reward yourself and give back to your community by getting involved in exciting volunteer opportunities at the Women's Resource Center. Volunteers are needed in the four-county service area of Valley, Phillips, Daniels, and Sheridan Counties for various projects.

Volunteers may train as advocates:

• On-call Crisis Line Advocates provide crisis intervention and advocacy to victims
• One-on-One Advocates meet with victims and advocate
  for their needs
• Safe-home providers host a victim at their residence
  for up to 72 hours

Advocates complete at least 20 hours of multi-disciplinary training

Volunteers (who will not complete the training hours) are also needed for:

• Childcare provider to care for children as needed
• Special project support:
  make awareness ribbons or informational displays
  represent the WRC at fund-raising events
  assist with booths at community fairs
• Office assistance with copying and stapling, organizing library and staffing office
• Grant writing
• Public speaking
